Meet Our Staff

Rod McDowall, Operations Manager

Known as Uncle Rod to his fans, Rod was not always "large and in charge." He came to Grand Cayman from South Australia, via the Greek Islands and the Red Sea. For years, Rod worked as a dive instructor for another company on the island. He joined Red Sail Sports in 1987, which at the time was just a small dive operation of 25 employees.

With his magic touch, he has guided the company to great success. When asked which of his skills he attributes to the success of the company, he claims the success is not due to him - he only manages a team of highly qualified and professional staff. On the weekends, Rod can be found underwater, teaching his kids how to feed stingrays. Once a dive instructor, always a dive instructor!

Pat Kenney, Maintenance Manager

Pat has been in the dive business in Grand Cayman for over 25 years and he and his friend, Jay Ireland, are the original founders of Stingray City! Pat joined Red Sail Sports in 1987 as crew member, and later as a captain on the Spirit of Ppalu. He also ran dive trips on the West and North sides. He later took over Tortuga Divers as General Manager and remained there after it merged with Red Sail Sports in 2002. Pat now manages the maintenance of our dive, watersports and catamaran fleet.

Clive Webb, Dive Supervisor

Another Englishman in our midst, Clive is originally from Kent, England. He's been with Red Sail Sports since 1998. He spent six years as a Boat Captain and has been an Instructor since 1992. He's previously worked on Malta in the Mediterranean, but still happy with the sweet life Grand Cayman has to offer.
